What does our software do?

Main Duties

  • Manage and grow sales of West African produced agro commodities such as shea butter, cashews, soy, sesame seeds, and more in the EU, Asia and US markets.
  • Oversee coordination of logistics and quality control to ensure timely delivery and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop relationships with potential buyers and commercial partners.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to expand market access and increase sales volumes.
  • Establish and strengthen new supply chains based on market demand, customer requirements, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to design and develop new projects that support sales strategies, respond to market demand and promote local value addition.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in (agricultural) commodity trading, preferably with African and/or international markets.
  • Proven experience in commodity sales, business development, and managing buyer relationships.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language such as French or Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural supply chains, market dynamics, and international trade.
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Existing network within the food and cosmetic industry is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of business development opportunities.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. Visa sponsorship or work permit support is not available for this position.

We are seeking an experienced Agro-Commodity Trader to lead and grow our international Sales team and support the growth and diversification of our commodity portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and managing commodity sales in the EU, Asia and the US. This role offers a lot of autonomy and the opportunity to work with the West African supply teams to identify new market opportunities, develop commercial strategies, and establish new supply chains based on identified market demand. You will also be responsible for professionalizing the international sales team and will travel abroad to set up new customer relationships.
