What does our software do?

Main Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of company-owned vehicles and machinery including pick-up vehicles, cargo trucks, tractors, farm equipment, and motorbikes.
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicles digitally for commodity aggregation, haulage, staff field trips, guest transportation, and mechanization services.
  • Use digital fleet management tools to monitor fuel consumption, mileage, maintenance schedules, operational costs, and asset tracking.
  • Ensure all fleet assets are digitally tracked, roadworthy, insured, licensed, compliant with regulatory requirements, and maintained according to safety standards.
  • Lead commodity transportation operations, including route planning, dispatch scheduling, load optimization, and delivery coordination.
  • Build and manage relationships with transport vendors, mechanics, fuel suppliers, and third-party transport providers.
  • Identify and implement revenue generation opportunities for company-owned trucks and transport operations.
  • Supervise drivers, tractor operators, and transport teams while enforcing safety standards, transport policies, and operational discipline.
  • Develop and improve operational systems, SOPs, and controls to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Support strategic decisions relating to fleet expansion, mechanization deployment, asset replacement, and operational improvement initiatives.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in fleet management, agribusiness logistics, international trade, rural operations, or related areas.
  • At least two (2) years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of heavy-duty truck operations, tractor mechanization, commodity aggregation, and agricultural value chains.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience supervising field-based teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and commercial transport management skills.
  • Proficiency in fleet management systems and advanced Google Workspace skills, especially Google Sheets.
  • Strong technical understanding of vehicles, agricultural machinery, and maintenance operations.
  • Ability to introduce structure, improve processes, and perform effectively in fast-paced rural operational environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
